Summary:
Under the supervision of the Pottawatomie County Treasurer, the Administrative Secretary is a part-time, non-exempt position under FLSA.
They perform a variety of clerical, recordkeeping, and customer service tasks to assist with the smooth operations of the department.
Essential Functions (required):
Greets and directs clients and visitors when needed.
Provides courteous & professional service for internal and external customers.
Filing and scanning of motor vehicle and tax documents.
In conjunction with the motor vehicle/tax clerks, process tag and title information for the general public over the counter, through the mail and via web-tags.
Answers phone calls.
Receives, records, and distributes packages and mail.
Regular and dependable attendance is required.
Directs information to other departments if necessary and reviews documents for accuracy, completeness, and proper signatures.
Other related duties as necessary or appropriate as determined by the supervisor.
Education/Training/
Experience:
A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent is required.
One year of similar or related experience is required.
Knowledge and experience with computer data entry using Microsoft Office programs necessary.
Licenses/Certifications:
Successful completion of MOVRS training for motor vehicle titling and registration processes through the Kansas Motor Vehicle Department may be required.
Must be fingerprinted and background check with the Kansas Bureau of Investigation for security purposes.

Must have and maintain a clean driving record for this position.
A clean record is defined as:
No misdemeanor or felony convictions for traffic/vehicular offenses (such as but not limited to DUI, vehicular homicide, reckless driving, hit and run, etc.
) that are less than five (5) years old; no more than two (2) at fault or chargeable accidents that are less than five (5) years old; no more than two (2) traffic infractions (such as but not limited to speeding, failure to yield right of way, etc.
) that are less than one year old.
